Service Pathways & Affiliations
WIMI advances marital intimacy through education, research, professional resources, speaking, and affiliated clinical and coaching services. Some services are provided directly through WIMI, while others are currently delivered through trusted partner organizations.
This collaborative model allows us to connect individuals, couples, clinicians, and organizations with the resources and expertise best suited to their needs while maintaining a strong focus on excellence in education, clinical practice, and relationship wellbeing.
Therapy & Clinical Services
Therapy provides a structured clinical approach to addressing relationship, family, and sexual concerns. Through assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions, therapy can help individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change.
Areas of focus may include relationship distress, intimacy concerns, sexual difficulties, family conflict, life transitions, anxiety, trauma, and other issues that impact personal and relational wellbeing.
Clinical services are currently available through Archangel Catholic. Therapy services with James Walther are available to clients in Colorado, Idaho, and Washington State. If you are unsure whether therapy or coaching is the best fit for your situation, we would be happy to help you explore your options.

Sex Coaching & Consultation
Sex coaching focuses on education, skill development, and practical strategies for improving sexual intimacy and relationship satisfaction. Unlike therapy, coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Instead, it helps individuals and couples develop the knowledge, communication skills, confidence, and habits needed to achieve specific intimacy and relationship goals.
Areas of focus may include sexual communication, desire discrepancy, intimacy enhancement, orgasm difficulties, sexual confidence, relationship skills, sexual exploration within committed relationships, and other concerns related to healthy and fulfilling intimate relationships.
Sex coaching and consultation services are currently available through the Apostolate for Marital Intimacy (AMI). Coaching is available to individuals and couples of all backgrounds and is designed to provide practical guidance, education, accountability, and support.

Research & Innovation
WIMI is committed to advancing the understanding and practice of marital intimacy through the development, refinement, and evaluation of educational and clinical models. Our work seeks to bridge research, clinical experience, coaching practice, and lived experience to create practical tools that help individuals, couples, clinicians, and educators.
Current projects focus on relationship development, sexual wellbeing, sexual literacy, and the integration of emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual dimensions of intimacy.
The Fourfold Intimacy Model
The Fourfold Intimacy Model explores intimacy as an interconnected system of emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual connection. The model serves as a framework for understanding relationship strengths, identifying growth opportunities, and guiding educational and coaching interventions.
Guided Vaginal Self-Examination (GVSE)
The Guided Vaginal Self-Examination (GVSE) is an emerging educational and therapeutic exercise designed to promote sexual literacy, body awareness, and comfort with one's own anatomy. WIMI is currently exploring the potential applications of this intervention for women experiencing sexual difficulties, sexual anxiety, trauma-related concerns, and other barriers to sexual wellbeing.
The GVSE is currently an experimental educational intervention and remains under active development and evaluation. Women interested in learning more about the exercise or exploring whether it may be appropriate for their situation can do so through WIMI's sex coaching services.
Theoretical Foundations & Clinical Perspectives
WIMI regularly publishes articles exploring the conceptual, philosophical, and clinical foundations of marital intimacy, sexuality, and relationship development. These articles examine topics such as contemporary sexology, therapeutic models, coaching frameworks, assessment strategies, and the integration of emerging ideas into clinical and educational practice.
Many of these writings are exploratory in nature, intended to stimulate discussion, encourage critical thinking, and identify promising directions for future research, education, and clinical application.
Professional Resources
WIMI develops practical resources for individuals, couples, coaches, clergy, educators, and clinicians. These materials are designed to support learning, facilitate meaningful conversations, and provide structured exercises that can be used independently or alongside coaching and therapy.
